2002 Kangarilla Road Shiraz

This wine combines low yielding parcels of Shiraz from our own vineyards at Kangarilla Road together with fruit from our immediate neighbours and vineyards located in the Blewitt Springs, Seaview and Sellicks districts of McLaren Vale.

After fermentation the wine was matured for 14 months in predominantly French together with American oak.

Our aim, as always, is to produce a wine that displays all the McLaren Vale hallmarks of spice, plums and anise with an integrated approach to oak usage that does not overpower the palate.

The Kangarilla Road 2002 Shiraz is soft and drinking well now and for the next three to five years however the length and intensity of fruit on the palate together with the abundance of soft tannins will allow for cellaring of up to 8 years.
