Tasting Notes
Intoxicating dark berry conserve on the nose with delightful blueberries notes. Glimpses of aromatic cigars and gentle cinnamon notes add engaging complexity. On tasting there are opulent plush dark berries laced with cinnamon and a myriad of other spices which both charm and bring harmony to the palate.
Vineyard Notes
This Shiraz was sourced from a vineyard located in the gateway to McLaren Vale. The fruit from this vineyard has lovely structure giving solid backbone to the wine with intense mid to back palate presence.
Production Notes
This Shiraz was fermented in an open fermenter with floating cap management with four cap turnovers per day. The wine was gently pressed at dryness and aged for 18 months in new French oak hogsheads.
