Tasting Notes

So much aromatic deliciousness with spicy red berry fruit and starring proper home grown raspberries and an appealing sweet earthiness. The spiced raspberries together with red plums and red currants form the core of the flavours with nuances of shortbread and Haighs Speckles dancing around with the palate coating silky tannins.

This wine is a sub-regional blend of several McLaren Vale vineyards.

Production Notes
It was fermented in traditional open fermenters with heading board systems and in static open fermenters using gentle cap management techniques. Oak maturation was 16 months in 25% new French and American hogsheads, the balance aged in 1 to 4 year old barrels.
